The electoral commission chairman, Eng. Badru Kigundu and his secretary, Sam Rwakojo confirmed that the first batch of ballot papers for the presidential, parliamentary candidates are jetting in the country today from South Africa. Addressing a news conference yesterday in Kampala, the dual said the commission contracted Pearl Media group in South Africa to do the printing of the ballot papers among other companies from the UKUganda  and UAE who started printing work in December last year.

He further mentioned that they are soon short listing the names of those persons who applied to be electoral officers adding that a total of 140,050 personnel will be recruited to man 28,010 polling stations across the country.
