Besigye party’s at DP headquarters

 

New MP for Butambala County, Muwanga Kivumbi was sworn in on Thursday as MP by parliament speaker Rebecca Kadaga.

Hon. Kivumbi was accompanied by a host of opposition MPs and soon after taking his oath he vowed to defend Buganda kingdom and Democratic Party interests in Parliament.

Muwanga, a staunch Muslim says that now Muslims have a reason to smile as he is going to represent well their issues and they will share the National cake since he is representing the Muslim enclave of Butambala which he described as the Uganda’s Muslim Mecca. Muwanga later hosted his guest at City Hall where he thanked voters for sending him to parliament. Among his guests included Forum for Democratic Chage’s (FDC) party president, Col. Kiiza Besigye.
