Kizza Besigye wins FDC flag bearer role in Uganda's 2011 Presidential Elections

 The President General of Forum for Democratic Change, Col. Kizza Besigye has won the race to become the party’s flag bearer for 2011 presidential elections.

Besigye is FDC Presidential Candidate

Besigye won with 728 votes while Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu got 11 votes.

 There were only two candidates in the race: Muntu and Besigye.

 Muntu has conceded defeat and shock hands with Besigye after counting the elections.

 The FDC delegates’ conference in which Besigye has been elected the party’s flag bearer for 2011 polls took place today at Namboole stadium.
