The Bishop of Namirembe Diocese of the Church of Uganda, Kityo Luwalira has decried the increasing cases of corruption among public officials in Uganda.

The man of God calls upon public officials in Uganda to lead morally upright lives and shun corruption.

Luwalira made the appeal today while meeting members of Uganda Young Democrats who met him at his pastoral office in Kampala.

He says the moral standards of public servants in Uganda have degenerated, leading to theft of public funds.

Luwalira urges public servants in Uganda to shun corruption and other evils like electoral malpractice and live by example.

The man of God also advises youth in opposition parties to start up income generating activities.
