Busoga MP wants education curriculum changed to enable youths create jobs

The MP for Jinja East, Nathan Igeme Nabeta, has called for a change to the education curriculum to enable youths who drop out of school become innovative and create their own employment opportunities.

Nabeta says that the current curriculum is still colonial which does not give a solution to job creation.

He was speaking in Jinja while meeting a group of youths from Busoga region.

He said that leaders in Busoga should emulate the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, and provide school materials like text books to schools to improve on education standards in the area.

Nabeta also urged leaders in respective districts of Busoga to push for high retention of children in schools so as the level of education goes up in this sub region where the education level is still lacking.
