Chairperson of Ugandans in Sudan speaks on South Sudan war

The chairperson of all Ugandans trading in South Sudan, Rajab Kaaya Sema has querried Uganda/ president Museveni’s interest in South Sudan.
In his two years experience of working in South Sudan as the Secretary General of Ugandan Community in South Sudan as well as a chairman, Rajab says Central Equatorial Province (CE) has had alot of human rights violation against Ugandans which included among others torture, arrests and killings.

But with no adequate response of the Ugandan government, it is quite surprising to see President Museveni’s government fighting alongside the government which did not respect the rights of Ugandans.

It raises a number of questions; was the Ugandan government in support of human rights violation against its citizens in South Sudan? Does Uganda government think that it is only the confrotational approach which will solve the problem in S. Sudan?

The government of South Sudan says that Uganda’s deployment of troops to South Sudan was under an understanding between president Museveni and South Sudan President Salva Kiir.
