Conservative Party (UK) nominates Ugandan to contest for local council post

 

The Barking and Dagenham Conservative Party (CP-UK) has nomited Mr. Richard Semitego, a Ugandan to stand as a Conservative Party Candidate in Local Council Elections -22nd May 2014.

Semitego, also a member of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC-Uganda), is a UK resident by registration, according to his brother Walakira Nyanzi. Nyanzi is the Speaker of Makindye Sabagabo and a member of Uganda’s oldest political party, the Democratic Party (DP-Uganda).

Semitego confirms, “I was nominated by Barking and Dagenham Conservative Party Members to stand as a Conservative Party Candidate in Local Council Elections -22nd May 2014.”

He adds that he has attended all Local Council Candidates Election briefing at BarkingTown Hall.  Semitego in a jovial mood extended his sincere thanks to Barking Conservative Party Association Members and Activists for having trust in him to stand in one of the Conservative Party target wards in Barking.
