Construction of Kampala Entebbe highway to start- UNRA

The Uganda National Roads Authority has unveiled a plan for the construction of the Kampala- Entebbe highway which is due to kick off in the next 2 yrs.

The Public Relations Officer Dan Alinange says the Authority has already secured a US $ 350m loan from a china Bank for the project.

Alinange says the road which will start from Busega round about via Kajjansi and Ssisa, is expected to have interchanges and lights everywhere and a fence all over.

He also says that the road shall branch off Bayita Ababiri to Munyonyo with 2 bridges budgeted for US $ 120m.

Arinange notes that the Authority has reserved over 70m dollars for the compensation of tenants to avoid the delays.
