After spending a month battling with COVID 19, Dez Byuma the NRM flag bearer for the Mawogola MP race bounces back to join other candidates as campaigns start off amidst challenges.
He was warmly welcomed by his supporters at Kyogya swamp boardering Mawogola and Bukomansimbi district to his residence in Mateete.
Dez Byuma was confirmed positive for COVID 19 on October 8 close to MP nominations and his nomination papers were picked by his campaigners including Hajji Babu Mpaka and Salongo Gerald Semwogerere.
Dez, wife, his child and other close campaigners including Kaweesi George William, Hillary Sekyewa were discharged on Monday after recovering at CASE Hospital in Kampala where they have spent a month on COVID-19 treatment.
He has officially started campaigns of having to meet a small number of people every day in intervals to protect them from COVID-19.
Dez Byuma’s Manifesto includes water projects, roads, improving education, developing farmers market among others. He called Ugandans to fight against COVID pandemic.
Among other candidates for the Mawogola MP race include NUP candidate Gorret Namugga, FDC’s Mukasa Abdu Baker, Madrine Nabikindu who is independent.
