Doctors to get new tagged uniforms from Ministry of health

The ministry of health has set aside 1.3 billion shillings to purchase new uniforms for health workers across the country.

The minister for health Dr. Christine Ondoa told mps on the committee of social services that the money will be reallocated from the budget of Uganda medical stores to enable health professionals acquire the uniforms.

Ondoa explains that the uniforms will be tagged with both the names and numbers of the health workers to get rid of the people who masquerade as nurses and doctors.

Ondoa says with the names put on uniforms, the patients will easily identify and report undisciplined health workers.
