A prominent lawyer of Uganda Political Party Democratic Party (DP) Sam Muyizzi Mulindwa over joyed by the Court ruling which confirmed Nobert Mao as the rightful leader of DP, has urged top Forum for Democratic Change Party officials and MPs Ogenga latigo, Kassiano Wadri, Odonga Otto, Nabillah Nagayi and MP for Makindye East, Michael Mabikke among others to consider rejoining the party.

Muyizzi noted that all the above mentioned MP’s had a uniform problem which made them quit DP because they thought that DP would never progress from the shadows of a conservative clique of leaders mostly belonging to the Pope Paul drinking Club, in Rubaga Kampala.

Muyizzi added that “some of these conservative individuals now in court behave and still believe DP is their personal property, but the owners of this party, through their delegates decided to transform DP into a progressive party capable of winning state power.”

He adds that the message was clear in Mbale, and court has re-affirmed that the complainants have no locus to act as DP leaders.

He called upon all Uganda Political leaders and members who had sought refuge else where especially due to the foregoing reasons to come back home to their party, which he said is in capable hands with a fresh and ambitious vision.

Muyizzi who doubles as the UYD Secretary General made a special call to his predecessor and founding member of UYD Mabikke, to abandon his new Social Democratic Party and instead rejoin and work with the current UYD dominated DP leadership which he said, bears similar aspirations, focus and benchmarks for which UYD was established, in 1995, to provide a progressive and people centered government for Uganda.
