DP prepares to rebury remains of Benedict Kiwanuka

The Democratic Party National Executive Committee has appointed a six man committee to organize a decent burial for the party’s founding President General Benedict Kiwanuka.

The party Secretary General Matthias Nsubuga said the six man committee will also include members of the Kiwanuka family.

He says that after establishing where his remains are, an official burial date will be communicated.

The party says they have information indicating that the body of the former Chief Justice and Prime Minister Ben Kiwanuka, was laid to rest in Nakasongola and not Luzira as earlier believed.

It is believed that Kiwanuka, died at the hands of Idi Amin government in September 22, 1972.
