Dr. Christine Androa urges Uganda urges against abusing patients

The minister of health Dr. Christine Androa has warned nurses against being abusive to patients.

Androa said that nurses should be with love and positive attitudes to patients saying that being a nurse is a God calling and she said that a nurse can not be negative to peoples God.

She made the remarks while addressing the nurses in activities concluding the International nurse’s day held at Butabika nursing school.

She asked the health workers not to be greedy for money but they should exercise professionalism and give quality health service to people.

The president of the Uganda  Nurses and midwife union Janet Abuni said that more nurses are needed for hospitals to stop nurses overloaded because of high number of patient turn out for health service.
