Drug shortage concerns Kabarole district

Residents of Masongora in Kabende Parish Hakibaale Sub County have expressed concern over lack of drugs in the Kabende health centre III.

John Kapipi a resident says that whenever they go to the health centre they just sit under the trees only to hear from nurses that drugs are not available.

Kapipi says there children under 10 months have not received immunisaton drugs for five months which he says may lead them attacked by polio, tetanus, among other immune diseases.

Aliganyira Samuiri a resident also noted that they have resorted to go to Kyenjojo for immunization which is also tiresome as the health centre somehow far.

However sources reveal that the refrigerator used to store drugs is not in good mechanical conditions to keep the drugs at the required temperatures.
