The summon has been issued after court learnt that Kiggundu had not been given the witness summons sent early this week.

Justice Kibuuka Musoke is presiding over the matter.

Muhammed Muwanga Kivumbi, who lost the said election, sued the Electoral Commission and the declared winner Faisal Kikulukuunyu.

In the petition, Kivumbi contends that Kikulukuunyu committed many illegal practices including bribery and campaigning after the prescribed time among others.

He blames the EC for failing in its duty to restrain Kikulukuunyu from carrying out all such illegal activities to ensure a free and fair election.

Kivumbi wants court to nullify the said election and compel the EC to conduct a fresh one.

Kikulukuunyu won the election with 13, 188 votes, while Kivumbi polled 12, 453.
