Egyptian government committed to strengthen relationship with Uganda

Egyptian Ambassador to Uganda Sabry Magdy Sabry has dismissed any possible conflict between Uganda and Egypt over the River Nile waters. He said river Nile is a bondage sign of brotherhood between Uganda and Egypt.

Speaking to journalists as part of the activities marking Egypt’s 59th national day, the Ambassador Sabry Magdy Sabry say distances a part that Egyptians and Uganda drink the same water from the River Nile.

He disclosed that Egyptians government committed its self to strengthening relationship with Uganda and assisting the government of Uganda in the implementing the national resistance movement (NRM) manifesto.

Egypt particularly plans to assist Uganda in the areas of electricity, water development, agriculture, tourism, health and Air transport among others.

The Egyptian government is also ready to support Uganda in the oil and mineral development sector said the ambassador Sabry Magdy Sabry.

He assured Ugandan that the recent revolutions in Egypt will no way affect the relationship between Uganda and Egypt.
He said they will continue with all programs as agreed in the contracts.

Egypt offers training opportunities to Ugandans in different field and also has an exchange program for students.

Ambassador Sabry Magdy Sabry said although Egypt is recovering from the after month of the revolution there are still opportunities in terms of business. He encouraged Ugandans traders to pick interest in venturing into Egyptian market.
