FDC MPs on strike at party headquarters

Members of Parliament on opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket are on strike protesting against the poor leadership of the party President Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu and the new Leader of opposition in parliament, Wafula Oguttu.

The MPs leading the strike and have threatened to quit the party are AruuCountyMP, Odonga Otto and Bushenyi municipality MP Oddo Tayebwa. The strike kicked out on Wednesday when Wafula named new shadow cabinet and parliamentary committee leaders during the FDC National Executive Committee meeting. Odonga Otto and Oddo Tayebwa marched out of the meeting. Many of the MPs claim that the reshuffle was unacceptable. Otto and Oddo had been replaced from the shaddow cabinet.

Many people who were at FDC headquarters today proposed that the party calls back former president of FDC Col Kiiza Besigye to guide the party.
