Court files and other vital documents getting lost from court irk Gulu chief Magistrate, Joseph Omondo.

Omondo recently complained to his judicial bosses in Kampala over the issue. The magistrate is calling for reshuffle of some of the members in his chambers.

It is said that negative elements bribe some court staff to hide files. It is said that a junior staff is paid about 50,000 to hide the files.

Omondo says when a court file gets lost it delays justice because the development calls for fresh trials.

Mondo worked in Arua and Nebbi districts before being transferred to Gulu. He wants the judiciary to transfer some of the court clerks to curb the problem of missing clerks.
