Over 1, 500 former workers of the Uganda Railways Cooperation have today petitioned parliament over unpaid pension.

The workers are decrying the impromptu pay of their pension having retired many years back.

Some of petitioners retired as early as 1990 after over 30 years of service.

The chairman Uganda Railways Pensioners Association, Manase Amone says several efforts at resolving the problem following privatization of the sector have been futile.
