Gen. Museveni mourns Zimmwe

The President of Uganda, Gen. Yoweri Museveni has described late Andrew Kasagga a.k.a Zzimwe as a hard working man who the country has lost. Kasagga died on Monday this week.

Museveni says late Kasagga had Uganda and the ruling National Resistance Movement at heart.

This was contained in a condolence message delivered on behalf of the President by the minister of Uganda for Finance, Hajati Syda Bumba at a requiem mass at Rubaga Catholic Cathedral today.

The mass was led by Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala. Museveni in the condolence message also described late Kasagga as a colleague, brother and friend.

Museveni says although the late Kasagga was scarcely educated he worked hard to educate his children.

Museveni contributed five million shillings towards funeral arrangements.

Museveni promised to support the family of Kasagga to ensure that the deceased’s company, Zzimwe Construction Company does not collapse. 

The mass was attended by hundreds mourners including politicians, religious leaders and businesspersons among others.
