Get young Achievers Award from Riversymposium.

 

Riversymposium is pleased to announce acceptance of this year’s entries for the River Management Young Achievers Awards.

Proudly sponsored by Thiess Services and managed by the International WaterCentre Alumni Network (IWCAN), this important initiative identifies and rewards individuals under 35 who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in river and waterways management.

To recognise the importance of this award, the winner will receive AU$3,000with each of the runners up receiving AU$250, with finalists having the opportunity to present their work at the 15th International Riversymposium.

You are encouraged to take this opportunity to enter the River Management Young Achievers Award and receive the deserved recognition for your accomplishments.

Young Achievers Award – Who can enter?

International professionals or students aged 35 or under (at the time of entry) with at least 2 years’ experience in a river related sector who:

  • Demonstrate leadership and positive outcomes in a river related area (e.g. a new catchment management initiative, setting up a new waterway group) or can showcase outstanding research in a water/river related field;
  • If selected as a finalist, are available to attend the International Riversymposium; and
  • Have completed their work within the last 1 year (although work could have been commenced at an earlier date).

Application deadline: 13 July.
