According to the party president Nobert Mao ,over 1000 families cannot be thrown out of their houses without government offering an alternative solution yet it’s a right for every Ugandan to live in a decent home as provide by the constitution.

The government however insists that the tenants were warned and paid off more than five years ago but had stubbornly refused to vacate the government owned dilapidated houses which the government wants to develop.

The Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Daudi Migereko says the tenants on question were given all the help they needed and free accommodation but they have refused to vacate the premises for re-development.

Meanwhile, DP has also warned government on committing crimes against its own citizens attributing the recent lightening to it saying it’s a punishment from God though there are other causes.
