Government of Uganda to construct a multi-billion trade centre in the country

The government of Uganda is planning to start the construction of a multi-billion shillings trade centre at Namanve in Bweyogere in Wakiso district.

The minister of trade tourism and industry Amelia Anne Kyambade  said after the initial delays and contracting issues, the government i ready to construct the trade centre.

Appearing before the parliamentary accounts committee, the minister said the centre will be called Africa India institute.

Minister Amelia Kyambade however observed that the funds allocated to the ministry are inadequate to put up a modern institute in the region.
