Hima Cement donates Kyabenda Health Center to local community

 

Hima Cement has handed over Kyabenda Health Centre, a donation to the local community as part of the Hima Cement’s Health and Safety interventions for the people of Kamwenge.

The Kyabenda Health centre has been designed to improve access to medical services and enhance the area’s existing health provision and improvement to the admission wards.

While handing over the Health centre, Dr. Martin Aliker, a member of the Hima Cement Board stressed Hima’s goal to have an all round functioning society to improve productivity.

Dr. Aliker stressed that good health among the community will positively contribute to the productivity of the people of Kamwenge.

Rev. Canon John Rwegiza, Administrator and a member of the Health Unit Management Committee expressed gratitude to Hima Cement for the support they had extended to the people in the area.

The Health Centre was funded to the tune of 60 million shillings to supplement the support the community had raised amongst themselves.
