Human traffickers arrested

The head of human trafficking department of police, Moses Binoga has revealed to the media the arrest of three of the country’s notorious human traffickers with more than four still at large being hunted.

Among those arrested at the Special Investigations Unit include a one Aisha Musoke aged 35, Ziwa Henry aged 27, with Bagala Ali Mwebaze (25) Haji Mukibi, Kalid and Alinda all being hunted.

According to Binoga the group has been trafficking people to Dubai, Kuwait, China, S.Africa, Malaysia, Qatar among other countries in the guise of getting them better jobs which has not been the case but to get their fellow Ugandans into poor condition similar to slavery.

He also advises the general public not to work with these companies, Best KK tour and travel, Oasis external employment agencies saying they are not genuine adding that the country has 31 licensed companies to do this job.

When asked, Aisha denied having dupped people to having them travel to Kuwait for greener pastures whom police says are asked to pay between ugx.1m and ugx.1.5m
