Ugandans in hundreds apply for guns monthly for personal security.

The minister of Uganda for internal affairs, Hajji Kirunda Kivejinja says his ministry is concerned over this growing number of people applying for guns.

Kirunda caused laughter when he told journalists in Kampala that that he fears that the applicants might be opting for plab ‘B’ literary interpreted as war.
Kirunda says since he became the minister for internal affairs over 1000 people have applied for guns.

However Kirunda says he has put mechanisms in place to ensure that the applicants are not given guns.

The Internal Affairs Minister also says they are drafting a bill that will regulate the system of giving out guns to private individuals.
