Immature fish impounded in Kampala

The Ministry of Fisheries in conjunction with Kampala City Council have today impounded immature fish worth over 20 million shillings in Namasuba Zanna on Entebbe road.

A special team from the Ministry of fisheries and KCC impounded over four tones of immature fish today as it was being driven to St. Balikuddembe Market for sale.

The KCC officer in charge of production department, Bernard Luyiga says they impounded the fish working on a tip off.

Luyiga says the dealers in immature fish take them to Owino market where other dealers from Sudan and DR Congo buy them from.
