The School of International Studies at the University of Trento will be accepting applications for the places in the doctoral program in International Studies for the academic year.

The doctorate combines interdisciplinary approaches within a structure based on economics, law and politics.

It is entirely in English, with a taught component in the first year and there will be at least 5 funded places.

Candidates will be asked to include in the application a short summary (2500 words max) of their proposed research and their motivations for choosing a PhD in International Studies at the University of Trento.

While all projects related to the main areas covered in the School of International Studies are welcome, candidates with interests in the following areas will be preferred.

These are International Law, International and EC Labour Law, European Union Law, Comparative Legal Studies, International Criminal Justice, Transnational Crime, European Political, Economic and Monetary Integration, International Trade and Economic Development, International Political Economy, EU Public Policy, Comparative Public Policy, Multi-level Governance, Peace-building and Conflict Resolution, Post-1945 International and European History.
