Kabale referral hospital with poor dead body refrigeration preservative

Kabale referral hospital is facing is lacking a service refrigilator for preserving dead bodies.

The hospitals mortuary that was constructed in 1935 has only ten slots and too small to accommodate the ever increasing number of the dead bodies. The situation is increasing becoming un bearer.

The roofs are leaking and some people have been calling for rehabilitation of the existing structures.

The hospital administrator Tumwesigye Richard says they have been lobbying from the health ministry to construct a modern mortuary but their requests have been turned down.

Kabale hospital only receives 100 million shillings annually to run all its activities.

Sylvia Baguma the kabale district chairperson says the condition in which the hospital is, is unacceptable.

Hospital authorities added that the mortuary need to be upgraded to met the ever increasing number of death and good body preservation equipment.
