Kagame agrees to give Ugandans and Kenyans land in Kigali

 

The president of Rwanda Paul Kagame has agreed to allocate land to the members of East African Business Council (EABC) to construct their head offices in Kigali. EABC comprises of mostly Kenyans and Ugandans.

Rwanda’s Ministry of East African Community Affairs agreed to allocate land in Kiyovu near Rwanda Social Security Board head offices for the proposed EABC headquarters.

In January 2014, EABC asked regional governments to allocate it land for the construction of its head offices, a request to which Rwanda duly responded to.

The government of Rwanda has also agreed to continue facilitating further discussions on other necessities required to have the head quarters constructed in Kigali, the Centre of business in East Africa.
