The Inspector General of Uganda Police Force, Gen. Kale Kayihura has called upon on Police schools in Africa to orient students toward addressing the causes of crime.

Gen. Kayihura made the call while giving a lecture on the “Role of Police in addressing violence and public order management” to students undergoing professional police academic courses in Rwanda.

He says that acts of terrorism, violent demonstrations, cyber crimes, and corruption are affecting the safety of African countries in general. Many people in African countries stage violent protests due to dictatorial policies of African despots.

Kayihura asked African dictators like Robert Mugabe, Bashir of Sudan and Salva Kiir of South Sudan to go beyond fighting crime by actively participating in solving the root causes of crime and violence in Africa.
