Ms Suzan Kushaba, a 33 year mother of three and chairperson of St. Balikuddembe (Owino) Market Vendors’ Association has been terribly clobbered by a team of ruthless Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) revenue collectors in Owino Market and she is currently bedridden at Case Clinic/Hospital in Kampala. She admitted on 6th floor bed No. 7.
The reason she has been tortured and stripped naked is because she led a big team of women who petitioned Parliament, challenging the brutality meted out to vendors, especially women who toil to fend for their families.
Uganda is one of the African countries where women’s rights are abused by some leaders in power.
