Kony calls Museveni: pleads for mercy

It is shocking but true. The LRA bandit leader, Joseph Kony has called some sections of people in government whom he has their contacts and asked them to plead to president Museveni on his behalf to have mercy upon him.

Kony, according to sources in government, which claim that he has called them more than twice in the last two months, wants Museveni to declare an all inclusive amnesty on all the LRA rebels and also convince the international court to cancel his warrant of arrest.

Kony and some of his top fellow leaders in LRA rankings are wanted by the International court of Justice over atrocities they reportedly committed on people ofUganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Southern Sudan and theCentral   African Republic. Kony, according to sources, says that he has over 100 children he looks after and so he wants to walk out of the bush.

The development has come at a time when Kony is on the run with a handful of his fighters over the too much military pressure the UPDF, and theUSforces have put on him in the Obo forests of theCentral African Republic.
