Uganda President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will on Tuesday June 7th officially open the 9th Parliament at the International conference Center in Kampala.

He will also deliver the state of the nation address, which he is obliged by the constitution to deliver before Parliament every year in order to highlight the key issues in the country and the government is handling them.

The President’s address is expected to focus on his government’s plans to address the current economic hardships, employment creation and the budgetary priorities of his government for the 2011/2012 financial year.

The Minister of Information and National Gudance, mary Karoro Okurut says the President’s address will also touch on the fight against corruption, delivery of services in the past and coming year, education, health and infrastructure development.

His address will be like a sneak peak into the government’s 2011/2012 Uganda national budget to be read by Finance Minister Maria Kiwanuka on Wednesday at the same venue.
