Live online Coverage of President Yoweri Museveni swearing in ceremony

All is set at Kololo airstrip where President Museveni is on May 12th swearing in as President of Uganda for another term in office.

Museveni who was the national Resistance Movement candidate was declared by the Uganda Electoral Commission to have won the February 18th elections with 68% of the votes cast, although the opposition disputed the results.

Several Africa heads of state are already in the country to witness the swearing in of Museveni who first swore in as Uganda President on January 1986 when his National Resistance Army took over power after a five year guerrilla war.

Although there were fears that President Museveni’s swearing in might be affected by opposition walk to work protests, the government has assured Ugandans that there wont be any disruption. There is heavy security deployment in much of Kampala.
