Local Government minister Adolf Mwesige asks Districts to sack lazy sub-county chiefs

The minister for local government and Member of Parliament for Bunyangabu County in Kabarole district Adolf Mwesige has advised district chair persons to sack non performing sub county chiefs.

The minister revealed that Uganda as a country has a lot of energetic youths who are interested in working as public servants.

Mwesige explains that the failure of government programs in some sub counties is due to the laxity of sub county chiefs since all civil servants at sub county level are under the control of chiefs.

The local government minister was responding to reports that some sub county chiefs in the country fail to turn up for the district planning meetings.
