Lydia Draru, the key suspect in the murder of former army commander Major general James Kazini has finally been committed to the High Court for trial.
This comes six months after she was charged at Makindye Magistrates court.
Draru confessed to having murdered Gen. James Kazini in Namuwongo, a Kampala suburb, during a scuffle at her residence in November last year.
She appeared before Makindye Grade Two magistrate Maxencia Namagembe who committed her for trial.
The state attorney Vincent Wagona told Court that medical examination established that Draru was in a right state of mind at the time she confessed to having committed the crime.
The late Kazini was reportedly hit several times on the head, leading to his death.
