The shadow minister for Public Service, Michael Ochula has said the academic standards at Makerere University are low because the institution puts money over quality education.

Ochula was reacting to media reports today that Makerere University wants to admit an additional 4,000 private students.

The Minister says the university wants to admit more students and get money yet it clearly knows that it lacks man power and facilities.

Ochula told journalists in Kampala today that the love for money at Makerere will affect the quality of education.
