Makerere University apologises to students over missing marks

Makerere University has apologized to students who have missed the institution’s 64th graduation ceremony that started on Tuesday. About 12,616 students of Makerere University will receive diplomas, degrees and master degrees in the university’s 64th graduation ceremony.

Makerere University publicist Ritah Namisango says the students who have satisfied the requirements for graduation, and for reasons beyond their control have been excluded from the graduation booklet are requested to write to the college authorities and on verification, the department of Academic Registrar will issue them with transcripts.

Many eligible Makerere University students have missed the 64th graduation due to late clearance for graduation. The deadline for students to clear for graduation elapsed on January 15 2014.
