A man in Lufuka zone Local Council One in Makindye, Wakiso district has dragged her own daughter to police over locking her three months baby in the house every night and goes to night clubs to do prostitution.

Fred Semakula, 50, reported his daughter Angel Nalweyiso to Namasuba police post on Sunday. Nalweyiso is staying with her father.

Semakula told police that Nalweyiso has made it a habit of leaving her baby girl alone in the house and goes to calendar Guest House where she reportedly sells her bodies.

The following day, she returns when the baby no longer has energy to cry. Semakula says one day the house may catch fire and the baby dies in it.

Nalweyiso, according to Semakula, refused to tell him who the father of her baby is. Nalweyiso however surprised the people when she told police that she goes to clubs to fetch money to feed the child. The officer in charge of Namasuba police, Joseph Bandoho cautioned Nalweyiso and described her acts as merciless. In Uganda anyone who abuses the rights of a child is liable to imprisonment.
