The people of Bugisu have been argued to forget their political differences and work together with resident district commission to develop the area.

In an interview, the Resident district commission Manafa district Henry Nalyanga attributed the public continued criticism on developed played by the resident district commissions due to the limited knowledge about the service.

He explained that the role of RDC’S is not only ensuring the district security but also monitor and supervise government programs.

Nalyanga said for unity and development to prevail in the country there is need for more local leaders to work together with RDC instead of perceiving it as RDCS as threat to the district.

Many of the leaders in Manafwa and Bugisu in general belong to opposition political parties, especially Forum for Democratic Change.
