Margaret Ziwa hails East Africa Community Integration

Uganda’s representative to the east African Legislative Assembly Margret Ziiwa says that the third stage of the east African integration has kicked off.

Speaking to journalists at parliament Ziiwa says that the stage which has taken off is the common market.

She says that all the schedules and guidelines are already in place and therefore implementation of the common market has kicked off. She says that this stage is important since it covers the four pillars of integration.

Ziiwa however says that the community will now focus on coming up with a common currency which is also an important factor of the integration strategy.

She says that monitory union is so important since it will help east Africans to overcome loss of money in terms of exchange. She says that will help in facilitating trade with in east Africa. She says that negotiations are already on going.
