Masters in Health Informatics Scholarships are available to students from developing countries.

 

The integrated Masters programs in Health Information Systems is running at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Addis Ababa University (AAU) and the University of Gondar (UG), Ethiopia as a cooperative effort between the departments of public health and informatics.

The Masters courses will be open for students that are qualified either by the disciplines of informatics or public health and will provide elective specialization for both areas.

While the majority of students will be from Tanzania and Ethiopia , students from other developing countries are also eligible for scholarships.

The program aims at equitable access and gender parity and women are especially encouraged to apply.

A formal requirement is a Bachelor’s degree in either informatics, health or related areas.

It is recommended to also have relevant work experience. No tuition fee will be charged.

While being modest, the scholarships will cater for basic subsistence and accommodation and transport from home area to the city of education.

Duration: Two years (starting August 2008- ending spring 2010)
