The Secretary General NRM John Patrick Amama Mbabazi has termed the decision taken by the NRM caucus while in Kyankwanzi to front president Museveni as party flag bearer in 2016 as mere opinion by members who were in this meeting.

He as he responded to the concerns raised by the PWD party league who opposed the decision taken by the caucus members saying that the process that reached this decision was not the right one hence rendering the whole process un lawful.

Mbabazi says the decision to elect party flag bearer can only be reached through the delegates conference when all the party structures have been involved in the process.

He though said everyone in the party are entitled to their opinions even before the conference is held

Asked about the boiling contescious rumors that he wants to take on president Museveni, Mbabazi says he is ready to serve any work given to him by the party but as for now, he has not come out to declare his intentions as speculated.
