More efforts needed to improve universal primary and secondary education

Hakibale sub county authorities have launched an education campaign to arrest all parents who sabotage government programs of Universal primary and secondary education.

Edison Businge the chairperson Hakibale Sub County says that most parents have not been fully supporting their children despite government’s initiatives to provide free education.

Businge calls upon other local council leaders cooperate with the sub county to uplift its education standards.

He says that his five year term of leadership will not tolerate lazy civil servants that fail government programs.

Speaking during the PTA meeting at Bunyonyi primary school in Hakibale sub county Stephen Kagwera the Burahya county Member of Parliament challenged the teaching staff to work tirelessly to achieve more first grades.

Kagwera says that he plans to organize education forums and competitions in county to champion the education system.

He appealed to parents to work hard and educate their children if a bright future is to be realized.

Tuhaise Sylver the head teacher Bunyonyi primary school said that the increasing child headed families and sickness have greatly encouraged absenteeism and school dropout.
