MPS ask government to pay all older persons

Members of parliament under the parliamentary forum on social protection has asked government to consider paying all older persons who are financially poor and have crocked 65 years in the whole country.
The chairperson of the parliamentary social protection Forum who is also the woman member of parliament for Kyenjojo district Flavia Kabahenda said that when the pilot study in 14 districts in which older persons are pain 25000 shillings each month end , government should pay them because some of them are living in absolute poverty yet they need basic needs and their families also are poor.
Kabahenda said that the benefiting older persons currently at a total of 105 in the 14 districts.
The befitting districts include ,Amudat , Napak , Moroto, katakwi, Kyenjojo, kiboga , Nebbi, Kyegegwa Nakapiripirit , Zombo , Kole and the older persons receive their money every after two months getting a total of 50,000 shillings.
She also asked the president to reduce on the years of older persons of the people intending to befit from the free health care from 100 years as he pledged to 80 years to enable many older persons benefit from such a programme.
She said that it will be difficult to get many older persons at the age of 100 years .
