MPS wants redinders near national parks given land and vacate.

Mps have demanded for compensation of residents who border with national game parks for the loss of lives of their relatives and crops destroyed by national parks animals.
Mps made the demand while debating the report of the parliamentary committee on Trade, Tourism and industry regarding a lift between Uganda wild life Authority and residents near national parks.
The woman member of parliament for kasese district Winnie Kiiza said that UWA should give land to residents near national park so that they leave to stop conflicts.
The member of parliament for Busongola south Boaz Kafuda told parliament that whenever a person near game parks fight for his land with Uganda wild life Authority they are shoot dead by rangers.
Kafuda said that UWA has fueled the conflict with residents because the rangers are too hard against the affected persons.
The member of parliament for kilak county Gilbert Oulanya attacked UWA rangers for arresting residents to kill instead of taking them to prison in case they have made a mistake.
The committee chaired by the woman mp for kyegegwa district Flavia kabehenda recommended for UWA to put electronic fance at the game parks borders to stop animals disturbing residents living near national parks.
She said that national parks boundaries should be redamarcated to original boundaries to stop the escalating conflicts between residents and UWA
