There are 15 scholarships available to study by distance learning (DL) for programmes run by the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), Loughborough University, UK.
The three programmes for which the Certificate, Diploma or MSc scholarship can be awarded are:
- Water and Waste Engineering (WWE),
- Water and Environmental Management (WEM) and
- Infrastructure in Emergencies (IIE).
These scholarships cover the full or part programme fees and the appropriate funds will be credited to the student’s account at the University as each module is studied.
The distance learning (DL) programme is studied by distance learning over a period of up to 8 years but this scholarship is designed to allow completion in a maximum of 5 years.
The scholarship is only available to citizens of certain countries (see links below) who are either living in their own country or in another developing country.
The scholarship will not be offered in combination with any other Loughborough University scholarship or award. If a scholarship is awarded, the funds are not paid to you but will be paid into your University student fee account.
Documents, including the letters of reference to support your application, must arrive at WEDC on or before 1st May.
