His Eminence the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje has appealed to Muslims of Uganda to avoid divisionism that leads to infighting and urged them to work together with other religions so as to realize development in the country.

Addressing Muslim at the inauguration of a new district Kadhi of Tooro Muslim District, Sheikh Galib Twalib, at the Fort Portal main mumosque on Saturday , Mubaje appealed to all the Muslims to embrace brotherhood and avoid divisions and segregation which he says in case one who does it, they will have broken the Muslim religious principles.

He has also directed the new district Kadhi of Tooro to unite the Muslims and urged them to be obedient to the ruling government.

He also appealed to Muslims to avoid being over watched by the police because police should be at bars not watching Muslims who are worshipers.

Mubaje also warned people selling and hiring-out Muslim land that they risk being arrested and leaders being sacked.
He said they are going to investigate all the Muslim land that is believed to have been sold or hired saying that it’s sold wrongly since all the land that is under Uganda Moslem Supreme Council (UMSC) should be sold and hired out after resolutions from the Uganda Moslem Supreme Council General Assembly.

On the same occasion, the Secretary for Administration at UMSC who also represented the secretary general Hajji Wahab Lugasa called on Tooro Muslims to shun discrimination that he says has hindered Muslim development and that in  Islam, its only unity that makes them prosper.
