Doctors in Mulago hospital say Pamela Asiimwe, 26, a teacher in Ntungamo whose hands were chop off by a UPDF soldier Deus Twinamasiko and left her hands hanging in the skin is out of danger.

The head of surgeon at Mulago hospital Dr. Michael Muhumuza said that Pamela Asiimwe will recover despite of sustaining serious injuries and the permanent disabilities will be determined after six months.

Pamela Asiimwe is now in 3A ward in Mulago hospital bed 9 and she is still in pain.

Asiimwe’s hands were cut in front of their father Ephraim Byakwaga, on December 9th after her husband had threatened to kill her several times if at any time he finds her talking to any one at work place.

Deus Twinamasiko thought that he had killed Asiimwe and he ran to the Police to report himself where was detained.
